Main objectives of Armed Police Force, Nepal are as follows :

1. to guard all border of overall Nepal.
2. to control any ongoing or would be riot within all over the country.
3. to assist in the natural disasters in the country like floods, landslides, earthquakes, etc.
4. to rescue people from various crimes.
5. to control terrorist activities within the country.
6. to provide security and protection in industrial states of Nepal.
7. to provide security to very important persons of Nepal like President, Vice-President, Prime Minister, etc.
8. to assist under Nepalese Army.
9. to protect public infrastructures or other infrastructures of Nepal Government.
10. to act task as per the laws and rules of the Government.
11. to mobilize in customs and revenue.

Nepal has four securities service : Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police and National Investigation Department ( NID ). Among them APF is also one of the security agency of Nepal. It`s main objective is to protect our border of Nepal. APF Nepal was formed in 5th February 2001.
Till now November 2021 the chief or Inspector General of APF is Mr. Shailendra Khanal. Mandip Shrestha is spokes person of APF. His is DIG in post. His contact number is 9851272007. APF has published vacancies for various posts every year. Many young people participate in competition.
